Charlie designed four different styles of forks: the Type I, which was the standard option on framesets, the Type II racing forks which are among the lightest, most sophisticated rigid mountain bike forks ever made and the Type III, which is commonly known as the Unicrown. The Type IV was a road and cross version of the Type I. The conical tip on this Cunningham Type II fork allows installation of Cunningam designed stems which have no protruding bolts to catch knees or other body parts.
